Sports and Bushcraft Activities at Lodge Hill

4TheYouth will be running different sports and bush craft activities at Lodge Hill Campsite each weekday of the Easter Holidays 8.30 am - 3.30 pm for just £25 per day!

Open to young people aged 8 to 14

Lodge Hill Centre, Watersfield, Pulborough, RH20 1LZ

What to bring

You will need wet weather clothing just in case! a jacket and waterproof trousers.

Drinks and snacks will be provided but you will need to bring a packed lunch.

How to book

Booking online via bookwhen, you'll be asked for payment at time of booking. You are welcome to book for one or multiple sessions. Spaces are limited to 30 young people per day.

Covid 19 Secure Guidelines

Activities will take place in small groups of no more than 15 young people.

Each day will be run to the same format unless the total number of young people attending is less than 15. Activities will vary each day.

  • 8.30 am - Arrive at Lodge Hill Campsite, Watersfield RH20 1LZ (Instead of going through Lodge Hill, turn right onto Waltham Park Road the campsite is on your left next to the exit of Lodge Hill. If you drive through Lodge Hill you will need to drive up the hill and then back down the exit, the campsite is at the bottom on your left)

All young people will be split into groups of 15 and kept in 2 separate areas for free time, lunch and activities. We will not split up friendship groups.

  • 8.45 – 9 am – Day briefing, Dean will go over the plan for the day and show all the young people where the toilets are, where to get a drink, how the activities will run and to ensure we are Covid Safe.

  • 9 am – 12 pm – Activity One: Group One Bushcraft, Group Two Sports

  • 12 pm – 1 pm – Lunch and free time in group areas (your son/daughter will need to bring a packed lunch)

  • 1 pm – 3 pm – Activity Two: Group One Sports, Group Two Bushcraft

  • 3 pm – 3.30 pm – Pack up/tidy up, snacks and free time in group areas

Bushcraft Activities will include:

  • Fire management

  • Cooking over an open fire

  • Fire by friction

  • Whittling

  • Rope swings and Hammocks

  • Nature identification and foraging

  • Tree climbing and playing in the woods

Sports Activities will include

  • Football

  • Foot Tennis

  • Teambuilding games

  • Obstacle Challenges

  • Ultimate Frisbee

  • Multi sport Rounder’s

  • Bowling

  • Cricket

  • Athletic challenges
