The Horsham Youth Service team has both a Van and Minibus which is funded for both Youth Service Groups and other community organisations to use.

 

The Team Van is a YOF funded resource ideal for residentials where you have a lot of equipment to carry, music events or just moving bulky items around for your youth or community group.

 

The Van is a VW T5 Transporter Long Wheel Base and is available to youth and community groups for just £20 per day, or £50 for up to 7 days. The van can be driven by any driver over 21 with 2 years driving experience.

 

The minibus is a VW LT35 15 seater (14 seats + driver), it can be driven by anyone with a West Sussex Minibus Driver's Permit. As the minibus is under 3.5t it can be driven by volunteers without category D1, as long as they have obtained a volunteer drivers permit and are over 21 with 2 years driving experience. The minibus is available for just £20 per day or £100 for up to a week, plus a £50 refundable deposit against cleaning.

 

Aiming High Shuttle
The Aiming High Shuttle is an accessible VW Transporter Shuttle with 9 seats, positionable in a variety of layouts. The shuttle is able to take up to two wheelchairs (1 wheelchair and 7 seated passengers, 2 wheelchairs and 6 seated passengers) and comes complete with ramp for side or rear access, and wheelchair restraint system.

The shuttle can be driven on an ordinary car licence, all we ask is that drivers are confident driving a large vehicle, have at least two years driving experience, and are 21 or over.  The shuttle is available for parents and carers of disabled young people in addition to youth organisations.

A milage rate is charged with a fuel card provided. Rates are 42.5p per mile for generic youth provision, and a subsidised rate of 30p per mile for disability youth projects, plus a £5 admin charge per booking.
